CSR

Community Responsibility

We actively pursue opportunities to balance our financial, social and environmental responsibilities to achieve positive outcomes. Along this journey, we are committed to collaboration, transparency and innovation. We want to make a difference to our community and to the wider world. Our wide-ranging programme of corporate social responsibility, covering areas such as children’s education, inclusion in the workplace and our environmental sustainability reflects this.
Thanks to the company and the efforts of our generous employees, together we have helped support the Funzi Bodo charity, based in Kenya. This amazing charity has achieved the construction of two medical clinics, developed road and water ambulances, funded surgery for the seriously ill, rebuilt two schools, a library, and a computer centre.
Employees at Work AnyWare regularly volunteer to teach children in local primary schools how to code. We are registered STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Ambassadors, and as part of our commitment to local communities we go into primary schools and help children learn how to program.
Work AnyWare employees are always encouraged to participate in community activities and fundraising events of their choice throughout the year. We're keen to support the causes about which our staff are passionate. Whether they are climbing the 3 peaks in Yorkshire, participating in a bike race, running a marathon or simply putting on a bake sale, we promote and support their causes.

Environmental Responsiblity

Work AnyWare Ltd is committed to reducing our impact on the environment. By providing a case and document management system, we aim to promote the need for a paperless office and reduce the amount of paper waste. Whilst we appreciate that being 100% paperless is unrealistic, our goal is to substantially limit the amount of paper used, and rely more on the computer. By having a paperless office, we are immediately helping to make the earth greener by saving the environment. We recognise the need to be greener to reduce the potential impacts of climate change. It is therefore of growing importance to us that by implementing the following practices, we have a lower environmental footprint.
We have installed Energy Star certified dual desk monitors for all our staff which has resulted in a substantial decrease in printing. These specific monitors meet stringent energy efficiency requirements in On, Sleep, and Off Modes.
All email recipients and staff are encouraged to minimise printing. This includes printing double sided where possible.
We re-use paper where possible.
Documents are communicated and stored electronically onto a file hosting service.
We encourage the use of Skype and Webex where possible to reduce business travel.
By having a flexible working approach, our staff can work from home when necessary, minimising travel.
We deal with providers that care about the environment just as much as we do. Our marketing material is printed using FSC certified paper, meaning our print has been produced from sustainable paper sources. FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an organisation that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide.
